A TV with nowhere safe to mount it
Plasterboard needs a stud fixing, brick needs a proper masonry fixing, and a cavity anchor will not hold a 65-inch screen. We pick the fixing to match the wall and the load.
Furniture that could tip
An unanchored wardrobe or bookcase is a real risk with kids or pets in the house. We fix tall furniture to the wall with an anti-tip strap rated for the load.

We assemble, mount and anchor it properly. Wardrobes, desks and cabinets built square and fixed to the wall so they cannot tip. TVs mounted into studs on plasterboard or with masonry fixings on brick. Shelves that will actually hold weight.
Getting the fixing right
This is the part that matters and the part most people guess at. A wall plug that works in plasterboard is not rated for what a large screen on a cantilever bracket does to a wall, because an extended arm multiplies the leverage well beyond the weight of the TV itself.
Plasterboard needs a stud fixing for anything heavy. Cavity anchors have their place for light loads, but not for a 65-inch screen. Brick and concrete take a proper masonry fixing and are the easiest walls to work with. Handy, since a lot of the older housing stock through Woden and the Inner South is double brick. Rendered walls need the fixing to reach the substrate behind the render rather than biting into the render itself.
We check the VESA pattern on the back of your TV against the bracket, check the bracket’s load rating against the actual weight, locate the studs, and only then start drilling.
Anti-tip anchoring
Every tall item gets strapped. Wardrobes, bookcases, tallboys, chests of drawers. Furniture tip-overs cause serious injuries to children in Australia every year, and almost all of them are preventable with a strap that takes five minutes to fit. We do it as standard, not as an upsell.
Assembly done square
Flat-pack goes together fine and then the doors do not line up, because the carcass was not square when the back went on. We build to the instructions, check square as we go, and align doors and drawers at the end. Where a part is missing from the box (which happens often enough) we identify exactly what to ask the retailer for and finish everything else.
Shelving and brackets
Floating shelves, bracketed shelving and rails, all set with a spirit level and the right wall-plug selection for the wall type. A shelf that sags at one end is usually a fixing problem rather than a shelf problem.
Cables and clean-up
Cable management gets the leads out of sight for a tidy finish. Installing a new power outlet inside the wall is licensed electrical work and gets referred to an electrician. Packaging is flattened and taken away, so the job ends with a usable room rather than a pile of cardboard.

Assembly & Mounting FAQs
Can you mount a TV on a plasterboard wall?
Yes, but the bracket has to land on studs. A large TV on a cantilever bracket puts significant leverage on the wall, and cavity anchors alone are not rated for that. We locate the studs and fix into them; if the stud spacing does not suit your bracket position, we will tell you before drilling anything.
What about a brick or concrete wall?
Brick and concrete are ideal for TV mounting and take proper masonry fixings. Older double-brick homes around the Inner South and Woden are usually the easiest walls to work with. Rendered walls need the fixing to reach the substrate behind the render, which we allow for.
Do you anchor furniture so it can't tip?
Always, on anything tall. Wardrobes, bookcases, tallboys and chests of drawers get an anti-tip strap into the wall. Furniture tip-overs seriously injure children in Australia every year, and it is a five-minute addition to the job.
How long does flat-pack assembly take?
A desk or a bedside unit is well under an hour. A large wardrobe with doors to align is two to three. If you have several items, booking them into one visit is quicker and cheaper than separate call-outs.
Can you hide the TV cables?
We manage cabling to a tidy finish, running it neatly and out of sight where the wall construction allows. Running new power outlets inside a wall is licensed electrical work, so if you want a power point behind the TV we will point you to a licensed electrician.
Will you take the packaging away?
Yes. Flat-pack boxes and polystyrene are bulky and awkward to get rid of. They get flattened and leave with us as part of the quoted job.
What if a part is missing from the box?
It happens more often than you would think. We will tell you exactly which part is missing and what to ask the retailer for, get everything else assembled, and come back to finish once the part arrives.
