Most Canberra households have a running list. A hole in the hallway wall, a door that sticks every winter, gutters that have not been cleared since the last big storm, a flat-pack wardrobe still in its box. None of it is urgent, and none of it is worth ringing a specialist trade about on its own.
So it sits. Then it sits some more. Meanwhile getting a painter, a roofer and a carpenter to each come out for twenty minutes of work costs more in waiting than the jobs are worth.

Turn up when we said
The most common complaint about tradespeople is the one that costs nothing to fix. If we are booked for Tuesday morning, we are there Tuesday morning.
Quote straight
A fixed price agreed before work starts, and it does not move unless the scope does. If a job is smaller than it looked in the photos, we say so.
Know the limits
Repairs and maintenance are ours. Licensed electrical, plumbing and structural work is not, and we refer it on rather than have a go.

Steve is the founder and lead tradesperson at Canberra Handyman Services, with over 10 years of hands-on repairs and property-maintenance experience across the ACT. Based in Torrens, he personally quotes and completes jobs from Belconnen to Queanbeyan, and holds WWVP registration, Police Clearance and full public-liability insurance.
